1 package frozen puff
pastry, thawed according to package directions
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 egg, lightly beaten
3 golden delicious apples, peeled, cored and cut in 2 inch slices
2 tablespoon sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoon butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a skillet melt butter and toss in apple
slices, sugar and cinnamon. Cook over medium heat until apples begin to caramelize
or begin to get glazed with sugar and butter. Roll out puff pastry in a freeform
shape and roll in outer edge about a half inch to form crust. Spread warm apples
on top of pastry. Brush crust with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar. Bake for
20-30 minutes or until golden.
