Simple Syrup or Sugar Syrup Glaze Recipe

Makes 7 cups
This glaze is so versatile. Use it whenever a recipe calls for Simple Syrup or Sugar Syrup. The trick here is to thoroughly dissolve the sugar before boiling otherwise the syrup will be gritty from the undissolved sugar crystals. 

4 cups Water
1 pound Sugar

Dissolve sugar in water and bring to a boil. Cool before using.
