Butterscotch Blondie Recipe

Makes 36 bars

These Blondies made with butterscotch are my kid's favorite. They are so easy to make and always get rave reviews!
bullet 3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
bullet 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
bullet 1/2 cup granulated sugar
bullet 2 eggs
bullet 2 cups all-purpose flour
bullet 1 teaspoon baking soda
bullet 1/2 teaspoon salt
bullet 1-2/3 cups (10-oz. pkg.) HERSHEY'S Butterscotch Chips
bullet 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan.

2. Beat butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar in large bowl until creamy. Add eggs; beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended. Stir in butterscotch chips and nuts, if desired. Spread into prepared pan.

3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until top is golden brown and center is set. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.
