Whipped Cream Frosting Recipe

For a 9x13 sheet cake (you may cut in 1/2)

No real cream here ! This is very creamy & fluffy, but not icky sweet. If you chill it in the fridge it gets a stiffer consistency. Also the leftovers are great to use as a topping or filling for graham crackers! Cover & keep remainders in the fridge for a week.
bullet1-1/2 cups milk
bullet4 rounded tablespoons flour

In a small sauce pan) cook while stirring over med-low heat until thick. Remove from heat & cool (I put mine in the fridge). When cooled will seem very thick like school paste almost

In mixer bowl, cream the following until fluffy:

bullet2 cups sugar
bullet2 sticks butter
bullet1 cup shortening, such as Crisco

Then add the cooled milk mixture:

bullet2 teaspoons vanilla extract (or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 teaspoon almond extract)

Whip on high until fluffy.
