Chocolate Fudge Buttercream Ganache Recipe
By Sarah
Phillips
Generously frosts a two 8- or 9-inch layer cake with
enough left over to pipe a top and bottom border.

This buttercream is very rich. Have
your cake and everything ready, BEFORE you begin to beat the ganache and
butter mixture. |
| I was on the lookout for a great
chocolate icing recipe and found this one on Baking
911. It was really
nice because aside from tasting really good, it was dark in color and
made without shortening. It spread beautifully. I highly recommend it...It
doesn't crust, but it does harden. It spreads beautifully and you
won't have to worry about crusting for smoothing purposes. It just
goes on smoothly.- from baking chat board I just
tried this icing today. It isn't too sweet and it is very good...One
piece of advice-let it cool long enough to thicken up a bit. I think I
mixed it in too soon and then tried to put it on the cake too soon so
it was too runny but I went back later and put on a border and it was
soft but made nice shells! from baking chat board |
