Measure Pan Sizes

Substitute Pan Sizes Types of Pans

Baking pan size is usually printed or indicated on the bottom.  If not, they can be measured with a ruler:

bulletTurn the pan right side up.  
bulletMeasure the width from top inside edge to the top inside edge.  
bulletMeasure the depth by standing the ruler on the table next to the pan and checking the distance to the rim.
bulletTo measure a pan’s volume, fill it to the rim with water, then measure the liquid in a liquid measuring cup. See also How to Substitute Pan Sizes
