Evenly Divide Batter & Dough

Make sure you scrape the sides of the bowl to get every last drop. You'll be surprised how much can be left if you don't.

Divide a Batter Between 2 or More Pans:

bulletIf I am making a cake recipe that requires more than one pan, I use a soup ladle to measure the batter evenly. I alternate filling each pan, keeping the same number of scoops between the two. It works well every time !!
bulletAnother way is to weigh each filled pan to determine if equal in amounts.
bulletDip a finger in each to a certain depth to check, however it's not as accurate.

 Divide Bread or Pie Dough:

When dividing bread or pie dough, the best way is to weigh each portion. First weigh the entire batch, divide it, and then weigh each piece.

 Divide a Batter for Muffins:

If making muffins, use an ice cream scoop to portion the batter.
