This simple technique is a great way to reproduce detailed designs in buttercream. A design is traced on a piece of waxed or parchment paper, and then its lines are piped and filled in with icing. The design is frozen, and then flipped onto the frosted cake. The part of the design or piping touching the paper will become the front and anything you pipe on top of the outline will be in the background. And, above all, start small with your first piece until you gain practice and confidence. For a step-by-step demo, click here. | ||||||||||||||
