Sure you can, you will want to be sure to bake the cake at 350, your recipe may say a lower temperature. Usually if you use a glass dish you lower the oven temp. Glass is not a good conductor of heat, but it does KEEP heat well and tends to overbrown the item inside. So if your recipe says to bake at 325, bake at 350. If it already says to bake at 350, then do that.
Some people are now saying that it doesn't matter, but I don't use glass baking dishes for cakes etc for this reason, they always seem to get a dark and crunchy crust.
