Hi Sarah, If a cake recipe(a chocolate mousse cake recipe) calls for a cup of strongly brewed coffee and I want to use instant coffee powder -how much coffee powder would I have to mix with a cup of water? Thanks >>Use double the amount of coffee granules called for or make a cup of strong coffee and add in the amount of granules called for on the instructions on its container. If you use instant espresso powder granules, the flavor will be more vibrant. It is available in the grocery store.
