Hi -- It's best to try and smooth the Fondant already on the cake, carefully and slowly, if it hasn't already dried too much. Or, cover the wrinkles with a decocration or icing -- However, if you do want to put on a second Fondant layer on top of the first, cut the Fondant on the first later so it lies smoothly. Then apply a thin layer or glaze, marzipan or piping gel to the first layer. The second one will stick to it nicely. A small imperfection may still show through from the first layer if you don't use marzipan.
