It sounds like you are getting an air bubble when you pour the batter into the pan. Take your spatula and spoon the first amount of batter into the bottom of the pan and 'jiggle" the spatula in the batter to be sure there aren't any trapped air bubbles. Then pour the rest of the batter into the pan and run a butter knife through the batter to remove any other bubbles before baking. Tami
