The most accurate way to do this is to purchase a scale. You can buy a good digital scale for about $50 to $60 dollars from any kitchen store. I would stay away from cheap spring scales from discount stores. Years ago I bought one from the big "W" who will be nameless and it weighed a pound of butter at 12 ounces. There are approximate charts, but the way to go is with a scale. Many of the digital ones can convert to grams, which is nice for foregin recipes. Tami
