The best way to keep bread from molding is to freeze it. What I do have my bread sliced (because it's easier to thaw one piece or more at a time) and wrap the loaf in foil. I then enclose it in a resealable plastic bag, making sure I get all the air out. Bread will keep for 2 to 3 months well-wrapped in the freezer. If you need a piece or a couple, take out what you need and let thaw at room temperature. Slices can also be directly popped in a toaster!!
