Hi, I love this site, and have it saved under my favorites,, I am interested in making a larger cake for a bridal shower, I would like to use a tiered design,,How do I make my favorite cake recipe for larger pans.. do I double the recipe? I've read on your site that you shouldn't let batter set out after beating, so how should I make enough batter( without letting it sit for awhile) while I make another batch to fill a big 16 or 18 inch pans...or would it simply be easier to make a bunch of boxed mixes to fill this size pan..but I really love the taste of my scratch cakes..thanks for helping!!!
