Do you press your top layer into place before icing the cake? this helps it make contact with everything, I think your filling may be on the thin side, and the weight of the cake is making it bubble out. Also, if your layers are not level they will bubble the filling. even though I make even layers by wrapping the pans when they bake, I still take the sticky layer off the top, and level the cake layer. I have not had a bubble since. When I put together a cake, I use the one layer bottom down, then frost the top cut layer, then add the second layer cut side DOWN, so the bottom of the other layer is the top of the cake, nice and flat for icing. So, if you trim the tops, even just a tiny bit to remove the sticky (can't stand that part, but its hubbies favorite to eat) then the layer is nice and flat and you shouldn't have a problem. Tami
